Baby Behavior Problems

Baby behavior problems are something that every parent goes through. Every baby has at least one behavior problem that we as parents have to conquer. Many behavior problems in babies will get worse as the child gets older if you do not take care of the problem now. The younger the child is when you start to cure the behavior, the easier it will be. The worse problem that we face is our babies crying habits. We have a hard time understanding what it is that the baby needs. Is the baby hungry? Is the baby experiencing pain? Does the baby need a diaper change? Does the baby just want to be held? It is important to realize that your baby is an individual. Just because another baby does something without a problem, does not mean that there is something wrong with your baby because it has problems doing certain things. Every baby is different, and all children learn at their own pace. Every baby likes and dislikes different things, and this is something you as a parent need to understand before you conclude that your child has a behavior problem. It is difficult to decide what is right and what is wrong when you are dealing with an infant.

Crying excessively is commonly the biggest baby behavior problem that parents have with their baby. Some parents are afraid because they do not know what is wrong with the baby. Some things that make your baby cry are off course the two basics, wet diapers and hunger. What else is there besides those two basic things though? If the temperature in the room is too hot or too cold your baby may cry. The baby may feel a need to suckle on something and this is perfectly natural. Pacifiers were made to ease this problem for babies. At 4 months the need will slowly disappear and you can slowly break your baby from his pacifier. If your babies crying lasts 3 or more hours a day and it sounds like piercing screams, your baby may have Colic and you should make a doctor's appointment as soon as possible. Your baby may also just want to be held. Babies enjoy the secure and comfort of being held. At around 9 months old it is okay to let your baby cry a little when they want to be held before you pick them up, so they can develop ways of comforting themselves. Over stimulation is also a cause of a crying baby. Loud noises, loud people, a lot of action, etc. Try quieting the room down or taking your baby somewhere less action packed and see if your baby calms down. Sometimes your baby may get bored and a simple change can relieve this problem. Move your baby from the floor to the swing, or give it different toys to play with. Remember with toys, infants prefer colorful shapes and toys that make noises as well.

There are various other behavior problems that you may find in your baby. Just remember to always rely on your parental instincts and make sure that they are fed and not wet! If you think your baby's behavior is just out of control, consult your doctor about things you can do to help your baby get over their problem. Do not forget that there are many other parents out there that are also dealing with the same baby behavior problems as you are.
