Baby girl names are said to be much more difficult to choose than baby boy names. Baby girls
are more than likely to be picked on for having a silly name than a boy is. That's why we
should pick and choose wisely so our little girl can grow up with a beautiful comfortable
name that she won't mind having. When choosing your baby girl name you should consider many
different ideas. Do you want her name to sound girly? Do you want her to have an old fashioned
sounding name? Or maybe a new age type of name. The choice is up to you. Don't listen to what
every else says about your opinions and ideas. This is your baby, not everyone else's and you
are going to be soon getting used to saying this name over and over again for the rest of your
life, so make sure it is something that you like. Don't make the mistake of making a quick last
minute idea for your baby girl's name and then regretting it later thinking to yourself
"Why did I like that name"? The best way to start thinking of what to name your little girl
is to simply go down lists of baby girl names and writing down the names that you think are
good names. You can start with a simple list like this one:
Sarah, Michelle, Lilly, Morgan, Emma, Isabella, Julie, Tiffany, Sophie, Brooklyn, Katherine,
Samantha, Christina, Chloe, Megan, Heather, Angela, Lindsay, Ashley, Ragan
Now after going through a list like the one above you should write down the names that you liked
from the list. You might like 10 of the names and you might only like 3 and you may not like any
and that's okay. The hard part about choosing a baby girl name is that you can only choose one
name and it lasts forever, so the pressure is on. After you pick out the names that you like you
should consider how you are going to spell that name. For example the name Sarah can also be
spelled Sara. And another example is that Ashley could be spelled Ashleigh, Ashlee, or even Ashlie.
Some names you can even come up with your own spelling. Just remember that your baby girl will
have to live with this name for the rest of her life so make sure you feel good and confident
about your decision.
Some other things to consider are your parent's names, grandparents, etc. Is there a tradition
that you would like to carry on? Perhaps there is a name in the family that you love; you can
always name your child after that person. The choice is up to you and after hunting you will
find yourself coming up with all kinds of ideas for baby girl names.
