Newborn baby pictures are something that most new mothers are interested in getting for their
new baby. Pictures are worth 1,000 words like the old saying goes. Newborn baby pictures are
something the new parents can look back on and reminisce the times that they had in the hospital
with their new baby and the pictures can bring back those special feelings that you first felt
when you finally got to meet your new baby for the first time. Most hospitals provide you with
the option to have your new baby photographed. There are sometimes more than one pose that you
can choose from the list of options. Most hospitals will generally provide the basic pose that
everyone is familiar with. Your new baby in her little new baby bed that gets rolled around
through the hospital is the basic prop that is used for the general pictures that are taken.
However, new services are being provided to hospitals that can give you better quality and
poses for your newborn baby pictures. Most of the time these photographers work for a variety
of hospitals in your local area, and they have plenty of experience taking newborn baby
pictures. Their prop is on wheels and they will wheel this into your room. There are some
different items that they, or you, might choose to use. Some photographers will have the
baby completely nude and lying on his belly. Other photographers might lay the baby on his
belly but place a soft blanket over his back. For girls there is the option of putting a
little baby bow in her hair. Since newborn baby's have little or no hair to do this is very
easy. The photographer will simply take a little bow and put a dab of lubrication on it and
then gently put the bow on the baby's head. The lubrication makes the bow stay in place when
put on a newborn baby's head.
Sometimes the price of having newborn baby pictures taken can scare off some parents. These
prices can range from 60 dollars up to 300 dollars and possibly even beyond. If you want to
take your newborn baby pictures yourself, you can do so and here are some basic tips to help
you achieve the best pictures possible.
First you will need a setup. You can always use the mobile baby bed that the hospital has
provided to your baby. Whatever setup you choose you will need this to have a clean background.
If you have a white baby blanket, this is often a good choice to use. If you prefer a black
background, you can use any type of black fabric. Make sure that whatever backdrop you use,
that it is very clean and free of any noticeable lint or hair. Next you will decide how you
want your baby to lay and what you want it to wear. If you have a white backdrop it is a good
idea not to dress your baby in white unless you have a high quality SLR digital camera. Basic
digital cameras might make the white on the baby's clothes blend in with the white backdrop and
this will make a poor picture. If you're using a black background the same goes. Don't dress
your baby in black, as the baby and the background will blend in together. This isn't the case
if you have a high quality SLR camera however, because the lens will be able to separate the two
and the mega pixels will be high enough that you can get prints without making the colors blend
together. In any case, you can always take these pictures yourself if you do not have the money
to pay for the hospital to do it. You can take your camera to a Kodak machine and make prints
yourself, or you can take them to a local photo store. You can also email the prints to various
companies online and order prints from there. Most major merchandise stores like Wal-Mart have
Kodak machines, as well as popular drugstores like CVS. With these tips are you sure to get the
best possible newborn baby pictures.
